Standards & Certifications

Our 66-500kV XLPE Insulated Power Cables are designed and manufactured in compliance with the following international standards:

  • IEC 60840:2011 - Power cables with extruded insulation and their accessories for rated voltages above 30kV (Um=36kV) up to 150kV (Um=170kV).

  • IEC 62067:2011 - Power cables with extruded insulation and their accessories for rated voltages above 150kV (Um=170kV) up to 500kV (Um=550kV).

These standards ensure that our cables meet the highest quality, safety, and performance requirements for high-voltage power transmission systems.

  • Extruded XLPE insulation: Offers excellent dielectric properties, high thermal stability, and resistance to aging.

  • Corrugated Aluminum Sheath: Provides enhanced mechanical protection and shielding against external damage.

  • Various Sheathing Options: Available with PVC or PE (Polyethylene) sheaths, ensuring protection against environmental factors such as moisture, UV exposure, and corrosion.

  • Water Resistance: Certain cable designs feature longitudinal water resistance (LWR) to prevent water ingress, making them ideal for installation in high-moisture environments.


Conductors

The choice of conductor material is a critical factor in determining the overall efficiency and capacity of the power cable. We offer copper and aluminum conductors, each with its own set of advantages.

  • Copper Conductors: Known for their superior conductivity and reliability, copper conductors are ideal for high-performance applications where low resistive losses are critical. They are widely used in more demanding environments where performance is a top priority.

  • Aluminum Conductors: Lightweight and cost-effective, aluminum conductors are often selected for large-scale power transmission projects. They provide a lower cost alternative to copper while maintaining good electrical performance.

Insulation and Sheathing

XLPE Insulation

The XLPE (Cross-Linked Polyethylene) insulation used in our high-voltage power cables is designed for exceptional electrical and mechanical properties, including:

  • High dielectric strength and electrical insulation resistance

  • Superior thermal stability, enabling the cables to operate in a wider range of temperatures

  • Resistance to aging and environmental stress

Sheathing

Our cables are equipped with either PVC or PE sheaths:

  • PVC Sheath: Provides excellent mechanical protection, flame retardancy, and resistance to UV radiation, making it suitable for outdoor and underground installations.

  • PE Sheath: Offers higher chemical resistance and durability, making it ideal for applications where the cable may be exposed to more aggressive environmental conditions.

Certain configurations also feature longitudinal water resistance (LWR), which provides an additional layer of protection against water ingress, making them suitable for use in wet or submerged environments.
